During this time I learned controller tips, but I could not perform any moves. I had to sit back for about an hour as I let the characters narrate the story, without any option to skip the introduction. The first part of the game was rather dull. Graphics are superb and the background music is entertaining. The story is told through celebrity voice-overs, with Elijah Wood as Spyro, David Spade as Sparx, and Gary Oldman as Ignitus. An elder dragon named Ignitus reveals to Spyro that he is not a dragonfly after all, but a dragon who must unlock the powers within himself to defeat the Dark Master and his minion Cynder, a female black dragon. In this version, Spyro, a purple dragon raised by a family of dragonflies, realizes his unique powers when he breathes fire to save his dragonfly sidekick, Sparx.
